Cams for all 2007-up Twin Cam models & ‘06 Dyna

HQ-TC-500-HC  Hurricane uses stock hydraulic chain tensioner system. This asymmetrical double patterned cam is an absolute winner as a bolt-in cam. It will increase power across the whole range and is compression friendly too. Designed as a bolt in replacement, it broadly enhances the power curve. If used in a 103 or larger motor (keeping compression at or below 10.5:1, this cam will still be compatible)
Intake     20/36     236   .500" lift
Exhaust  51/19     250   .500
" lift

HQ-TC-525-HC  Paul Bunyan uses stock hydraulic chain tensioner system. Specifically designed for use in 09 and later touring models with lower 1st - 3rd gearing and for those who want more mid to upper range power with stock and SE heads. Also complimented with the new 2-1-2 stock exhaust head pipes. Works extremely well as a bolt in for stock SE110 engines. Uses stock hydraulic chain tensioner system. This asymmetrical double patterned cam is an absolute winner as a bolt-in cam. It will increase power across the whole range and is compression friendly too.

Intake     18/40     238   .525" lift
Exhaust  51/19     250   .510
" lift

HQ-TC-575-HC  Fire Brand uses stock hydraulic chain tensioner system. Use with compression ratios up to 10.5:1. Great throttle response. Very strong mid-range.
Intake     20/40     240    .575
" lift
Exhaust  52/24     256    .530
" lift

HQ-TC-600-HC   Josey Wales uses stock hydraulic chain tensioner system. Use with compression up to 11:1. Pulls very hard from 3000 RPM up. Good bottom end, very strong top end.
Intake     19/47     246   .600
" lift
Exhaust   52/24    256   .530
" lift

Special Note: All Head Quarters cams with lifts below .650" will  work in stock 2005 and later heads with original equipment conical (beehive) springs, valves and seals. Performance valve springs are recommended but not required.

1999-2006 (except ‘06 Dyna) Twin Cam models

HQ-0034      Hurricane   uses stock chain drive
HQ-0034-G    Hurricane  special gear driven type

Bolt-in cams for 1450 and 1550cc engines using stock or modified heads. Good power increases throughout the whole RPM range. Makes the mid-range very responsive. This cam is extremely popular with the dealers that use it It could arguably be the best bolt in cam on the market if we had the advertising budget to market it properly.

John’s Performance in Washington state used one of these in a stock 88 cubic inch 2006 Street Glide using a Power Commander and Rhinehart Tru-Dual exhaust. John made 89.8 HP and 95.4 foot pounds of torque. A very impressive dyno sheet and said he could have got more if the customer would have paid for more dyno time.

We have seen the 95 cubic inch motors at 9.6:1 produce 88 HP and 101 foot pounds with stock heads.

HQ-TC-575     Fire Storm chain drive 1999-06 (except ‘06 Dyna)
HQ-TC-575-G
Fire Storm special gear driven type

This cam was designed for bikes with compression ratios 9.75 - 10.5:1. It will provide very strong torque figures
Intake    20/40      240    .575
" lift
Exhaust  52/24     256    .530
" lift

HQ-0033     * Tornado   uses stock chain drive
HQ-0033-G *  Tornado  special gear driven type

We developed this grind back in 1989 for the Evolution motors. It was very unusual for the time and it’s success took the market by storm. Many of our competitors were inspired to *borrow* from it’s design, as can be seen by their own cam specs. Unfortunately for our competitors, we nailed it, they can only come close.

These cams are for use with Twin Cam ported heads used on the 1450 & 1550cc motors. Pulls progressively harder from idle all the way up. Works best with 10.5 thru 11:1  motors. Very strong upper range making it ideal for lighter bikes like the Dyna. Also woks extremely well in 103, 106 and 107" engines around 10:1- 11:1 compression ratios. Requires our HQ-2007 valve spring kit.

Timing specs measured at .053" tappet lift.
Intake     19/47     246   .600" lift
Exhaust  52/24     256   .530" lift

HQ-0036-G Blizzard  special gear driven type

Extended intake timing version of our HQ-0033 series cams. Works best with strokers or motors exceeding 11:1 compression. Very strong upper range making it ideal big motored bikes. Requires our HQ-2007 valve spring kit.

Timing specs measured at .053" tappet lift.
Intake     20/54     254   .600" lift
Exhaust  53/22     256   .530"
lift

HQ-0038-G Storm  special gear driven type

Extended intake timing version of our HQ-0036 series cams. This is the one for the biggest stroker and large bore motors using high compression. A good example would be an S&S 116 or 124 with compression ratio higher than 11:1. We have seen over 150 horsepower and foot pounds of torque using this cam. Requires our HQ-2007 valve spring kit.

Timing specs measured at .053" tappet lift.
Intake     23/63     266   .600" lift
Exhaust  52/24     256   .530"
lift

HQ-0037-G *   Twin Camzilla

Combination drag and street. We made this cam for the HUGE motors that have become popular recently. It works really well with a healthy increase in compression. These cams are not suitable for stock heads. Very snappy bottom and mid-range. Wait ‘till you hear one idle. Nasty!

Timing specs measured at .053" tappet lift.
Intake     26/60     266   .650" lift
Exhaust  70/24     274   .575"
lift
