It’s our opinion, and that of experienced tuners, that drilling the air-port in the slide or replacing the spring with a lighter version is detrimental to the CV carb.

They are designed to maintain constant velocity, proportional with the engine’s demand for air/fuel, and should not be tampered with in that regard.

All these carbs need to out-perform the others, is correct jetting and needles.

We offer a few simple kits that will ease the task of jetting for you.

HQ-2500-This is a great kit for warming                          up a stock Evo 1340. Works                              well up to 9.5:1 compression. Includes #45 slow jet, yellow HQ needle and washer, #175 main jet and instructions.

HQ-2505 - This kit is for 10:1+                                      compression Evo Big Twins.     Includes #45 slow jet, blue HQ needle and washer, #180 & 185 main jets and instructions.

HQ-2510 - CV carb tuner kit for                                    Sportsters. Works well in the                        1200 and 883-1200 conversions Includes #45 slow jet, blue HQ needle and washer, #170 main jet and instructions.

HQ-2515 - CV carb tuner kit for                                  Buells.                                 Includes #45 slow jet, blue HQ needle and washer, #195 & 200 main jet and instructions.

HQ-2520 - This is a great kit for warming                      up a stock Twin Cam 88s and                      95 engines. Works with 9.5:1                         compression.                          Includes #45 slow jet, blue HQ needle and washer, #180 main jet and instructions.

HQ-2525 - This kit is for Twin Cams with                       port work, cams and                                 compression increases.    Includes #46 slow jet, red HQ needle and washer, #195 & 200 main jets and instructions.
