Mike McAdoo (assembled & tuned at Black Hills) - 2000 FLSTF - HQ heads - 10.5:1 compression - HQ-0033 gear drive cams - Dyna ignition - Wiseco domed pistons - 42mm Mikuni carb w/Pro Hyper Charger - Thunderheader exhaust system
This is an email we recieved on November 18/01 from the owner of this bike.
Just wanted to take a second to thank you for what turned out to be a great engine combination for my 2000 FatBoy.
After putting a bunch of miles on my basically stock 88 inch motor, I turned to Ken and the guys at Black Hill Custom Parts in Rockaway, NJ, for some major horsepower and torque mods. They recommended your 95" Hi Compression motor, and from the first impressions, I'd say I made the right choice.
Along with your heads and bigger cylinders, I went with Wiseco pistons (10.5:1), and the S&S gear drive for your HQ-0033-G cams. I was already running a Thunderheader, and we topped everything off with a Mikuni HSR 42 and Dyna ignition. I could tell right away that the bike was strong as hell, but after a good 750 miles of break-in, the numbers on Ken's Dynojet 150 were truly impressive.
After a little tuning, the bike made a best dyno run of 108.6 horsepower and 116.4 ft./lbs. of torque. Even running a wider Avon 150 on the rear and carrying my large 245 lbs butt around, it still blisters the tire through the first part of third gear. All while remaining very streetable in daily driving.
Again, thanks to you. It's exactly what I wanted.

Mike has now upped the engine in his Fatboy to one of our 116” kits. The dyno graphs of the bike now are here. This 95” setup has now been installed in his Road King.
